Community question: Do you use a period tracking app?

I’d love to start regularly using a period tracker app to understand my own cycle better, but don’t know where to start. Does anyone have a favorite period tracking app? Which one, and why?

Sarah
  • I use Glow and Eve. Same company. Eve is less about fertility. Glow has functions for fertility, baby, and post baby. Both apps have a mood tracker.
Glow tracks temperature Eve does not.

    Hope this helps. 🙂

  • I find that I actually prefer keeping a log in my Notes app! my period can be so irregular that I find it useful to have space to be descriptive about what I’m experiencing month to month

  • I actually use my phone’s calendar! I’ve been doing for the past 6 months. It’s been a good system for me because I’m primarily concerned with keeping track of my cycle’s length.

  • I haven’t used a period tracking app before — I’m on the Nuvaring which keeps me super regular. I’ve been considering going off the ring, and would feel much better about it knowing there was a great app out there to use once I need it!

  • I’ve used Flo for the last year and have mixed feelings. It’s pretty accurate, but it doesn’t have a place to track emotional wellbeing or mental health. Does anyone have an app they would recommend that reassures them they are not a crazy person when they are in fact just going through PMS?

    • Kara, I also use Flo and have the same mixed feelings. I’d love to be able to track my emotional wellbeing and what I’m experiencing and when while on my period, like I track my to-do list and everything else!

  • I have heard the Clue app is really good!

I don’t have a period (I’ve had hormonal IUDs for the last 8 years and they completely stopped my period), but I want to learn more about my cycle. Has anyone embarked on this while on hormonal birth control or has anyone ever taken a birth control vacation?
