Tanika Gray Valbrun is an award-winning journalist, advocate, storyteller and educator. She is the founder of the nonprofit, The White Dress Project (WDP), a patient advocacy organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the uterine fibroid epidemic that plagues so many, and disproportionately impacts Black women. Through her work at WDP, Tanika has partnered with doctors, health advocates, and elected officials in multiple states to get legislation passed declaring Fibroid Awareness Month in July.
Tanika joined LOLA Collective as an advocate in 2020. She is recognized as a thought leader in women’s health, has spoken at domestic and international events, and continues to use her platform to fight for women suffering with fibroids everywhere.
