Erica McAfee is the founder and CEO of Sisters in Loss, a maternal child health company that helps Black women replace silence with storytelling around pregnancy, infant loss, and infertility. Sisters in Loss provides support through the grieving process, working to guide women away from anxiety and fear, and into trust and peace. Its self-titled podcast spotlights resilient Black mothers, who share intimate details of their journeys to motherhood, along with stories of loss and infertility.
Erica joined the LOLA Collective as an advocate in 2020. She is a member of MOMMAs Voices and Racial Disparity Committees of the Preeclampsia Foundation, as well as a certified birth and bereavement doula. She is mother to two babies in heaven, and one rainbow baby, Max.
