Will using a condom help keep bacterial vaginosis away?
Bacterial vaginosis infections usually result from pH imbalances in the vagina that may be triggered by any changes (large or small) in the vaginal environment. There are so many triggers for imbalance, and sex is a common one. This also includes oral, vaginal, and anal sex. Condoms may provide a barrier that prevents changes in your vaginal environment. So if you are finding the infections come consistently after sex, condoms certainly may help!
