Why is it that sometimes even when aroused I am not as wet as usual? Is there something you can do other than drink more water to help with this?
There can be many reasons for this from a psychologic and physiologic perspective, but commonly what I see is that there is a hormonal reason such as low estrogen for example. When you look at a general cycle and how hormones change throughout, unless you are on an exogenous hormone say in contraceptive, there are many natural ups and downs. You can learn a lot about your body by simply tracking your cycle for a few months, where you are within it when you are aroused, your natural lubrication, and any other symptoms you are having such as your interest or libido.
