What's causing bumps on my labia? It’s like a pimple and I have to pop it, then it goes away.
Bumps on the labia can be caused by a number of factors. Often it can be caused by ingrown hairs around the labia. Warm compresses can help to allow the hairs to open up and typically they can resolve on their own. Sometimes they can get infected so I would be careful with popping them as it could introduce bacteria into the open follicle and cause a deeper infection. If the bumps are more red, painful and/or blistering it could be a few different things including genital herpes. The next time you have them I would encourage you to see your primary care doctor or gynecologist so they can take a closer look.
