What is the best way to sleep with period cramps and low back pain?
It’s hard to feel comfortable when you are having period cramps and low back pain. If you are lying down for a rest, a heating pad can be helpful to sooth the pain for both the back and cramps. If you are going to bed for the night, I don’t recommend a heating pad that is plugged in as it’s a fire hazard and can potentially burn your skin. A microwavable heating bean bag, on the other hand, is great to warm up right before going to bed. I also recommend taking two to three 200 mg tablets of Ibuprofen (if you are not allergic to it and have no other contradiction to the medication) to help with pain control. Lastly, a good epsom salt bath for muscle aches can be soothing and helpful for sleep.
