I’m 39, no kids, and have noticed that sometimes vaginal discharge seems to fall out of me these days in larger quantities, uncontrolled. It used to be more of a drip. Is my vagina becoming loose due to age?
Having vaginal discharge is totally normal and it changes as our bodies and hormones change. In your 20’s, vaginal discharge can look one way and it could look totally different in your 40’s and this is completely normal. However, I always recommend seeing your primary care provider or gynecologist when you identify a change in your vaginal discharge to get it checked out. It could be a normal change but in some cases it could be because you are experiencing an infection like bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection or STI and you want to rule that out.
