Is it possible to get pregnant when you're not ovulating and have taken Plan B?
In order to achieve pregnancy, it is required that egg and sperm combine to start the process of human conception. It is not possible to get pregnant if you do not ovulate, or release an egg. Plan B works by preventing ovulation, fertilization, and/or attachment of the fertilized egg to your womb. The caveat is that Plan B must be taken as soon as possible within 72 hours of sex without a condom, in order to have its maximal effect. That being said, there is always a possibility that Plan B may not work, and you may still be pregnant. If you find that your period is late by more than a week, you should see your doctor to evaluate for pregnancy.
