I’m 30, should I consider freezing my eggs?

When you begin to consider freezing your eggs, know that it’s a personal choice and there is not a specific guideline simply based on age. We know that egg quality and count declines with age, but we also know that many women have healthy babies without complications after 30 and, more specifically, after 35. If this is something you are considering, it is best to have a discussion with a trusted reproductive endocrinologist (RE) near you to weigh the pros and cons. The cost is not insignificant, but the option of having your eggs cryopreserved can be very reassuring especially when weighing any timing considerations that you are trying to balance with life, career, partner, etc. I encourage women to explore their options!
