I have had a lot of hair loss postpartum twice (for two consecutive babies). It's growing back in short and spiky in the front and it stands up and I hate it. What products should I be using to make my hair healthy and control the appearance? Also hi this is Alex.
Hi Alex! Great question. I use the bare minimum when it comes to hair products, but I can definitely relate to this experience of postpartum hair regrowth. In terms of working from the inside out to make sure the hair regrowth is as strong as possible, check with your healthcare provider to make sure your iron and thyroid levels are optimal. Make sure your diet is also sufficient in protein and amino acids. I recommend this great article to help you determine how much protein to consume in a day for you.
In terms of how to get through the regrowth stage, I became a fan of using bobby pins to help control the little hairs. I also have personally used clean lines like Innersense. I will often use Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep to discover new clean products to try.
