My mind wants sex, but my body says no. I have gone thru menopause and the lack of desire, dryness has been a battle. I tried your lubricant, and it helps ease the dryness immediately. Can you help w/ desire?

There are some great therapies that can support sexual dysfunction and dryness in menopause or post. My absolute favorite, most effective, and very safe is a vaginal low-dose estrogen that comes in creams or suppositories. The treatment remains localized to the vaginal tissue and many women experience relief of their dryness and even enhanced libido and/or arousal with this. It can also help to prevent vaginal and bladder infections as we age. The low-dose and direct vaginal use of it makes it a very different type of therapy than say more systemic hormones. The other therapy that I love is the botanical called maca. It can also enhance sexual interest or libido, and for some lubrication. Chat with your doctor about if these options would be helpful for you.
