I have a bump near my vaginal area. Is it an ingrown hair, or should I see a doctor?

It could be ingrown hair but it also could be a number of things like a blocked gland or enlarged lymph node, among other things. I would suggest making an appointment to see your primary care or gynecologist to have it looked at so they can assess this properly and identify a plan for treatment if necessary.

  • I have a tiny bump near my vaginal area and I had two more that were bigger. If you lighting squeeze or rub and you feel a sharp or slight needle like pain. The. most likely it’s an in grown. It will start to puss around by day 3. If it does not and tou notice it hardens then it could be a boil or a cyst. This is when you can decide to see your Doctor to take care of it for you or you could try lancing it yourself. I have done this a few times in my life because the cyst were on the outer region. The tiny one near or at the mouth of my wall I went to the Doctor for. She confirmed it was normal and was surprised at how well I managed others. Oh and later I developed a bigger boil than normal and she had to take care of that one for me. I learned after that last time what causes them and funny enough I was getting them when my menstrual pad would pool or tear my hairs same with my thongs if the dug in my crease. lol Also
