Do you know anything about incompetent cervix ?
Yes. An incompetent cervix, otherwise known as cervical insufficiency is a term used during the second trimester of a pregnancy when the tissues of the cervix are structurally weaker and/or the cervix is shorter than is typical putting the fetus at risk of premature birth or loss. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists defines cervical insufficiency as “the inability of the uterine cervix to retain a pregnancy in the second trimester in the absence of clinical contractions, labor, or both.” It may occur in a single pregnancy or recur in consecutive pregnancies. If this is something you are concerned about, you will want to discuss with your doctor about possible cause(s) and solutions.
