Can ovulation cause a fever?
Our body’s temperature can change during our cycle. Basal body temperature refers to the temperature you measure when you first wake up in the morning prior to moving your body at all. Our basal body temperature can rise by a whole F degree during ovulation and some people can feel feverish with this shift in temperature. As ovulation ends, that sudden spike in temperature returns to its baseline. However, if you are measuring a temperature over 101 F I would reach out to your primary care provider. Readings that high can be a sign of something other than ovulation.
